✹Meet the Maker✹

Hello! I'm Jenn, the face and maker behind The Weaver's Daughter. Firstly, thank you so much for being here. And secondly, no, neither of my parents were or are weavers, but I love the sense of lineage and the passing down of culture and skills through generations that the name brings, and being the only daughter in a family of 6, I have always gravitated to the word daughter whether in art, literature or music.

I started weaving and beading in 2016 after a transformative trip to America where my husband and I spent 3 weeks on the road exploring and absorbing the beautiful and varied landscapes of the West coast. I am a history nerd and loved exploring the rich cultural history of the indigenous Americans and their art. I love and admire Native American beadwork - but I do not use their patterns, imagery or culture in my work, not being an indigenous beader myself.

I am a mom to two young boys and a teacher of languages in the UK secondary school system. I run weaving workshops for primary-aged children too, combining my love of teaching with my craft. Beading is my outlet and my passion and I am inspired by nature; celestial objects, native plants, wildlife, landscapes and architecture. I hope you find something that inspires you, too!

Beading is a slow craft. Please note that all website orders are on a made-to-order basis so the delivery window is between 3 days and 2 weeks. I appreciate your patience with that! Please check my Instagram for ready-to-ship sales and special offers.

Thank you so much for being here. I am so grateful! Love, Jenn xxx
